Bringing sweet tidings to those in need this holiday season

Dec 20, 2021

This year, Cronin is supporting organizations dedicated to addressing the issue of hunger.

For most of us, the holiday season brings cherished time with family and friends and, yes, yummy food that completes the experience. However, that’s not the reality for all. An astounding 42 million people in the U.S. – including 13 million children – were expected to experience food insecurity in 2021*. This year, Cronin is celebrating the season by supporting organizations dedicated to addressing the issue of hunger.

We are proud to work with a wide variety of clients that do good in their communities and across the country every day. This holiday season we are spotlighting and supporting two client charities that work to put food on the table for those who need it most:

  • Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health Willing Hands Farmacy Garden. This collaborative effort produces nutritious food for local food shelters to make healthy eating accessible for insecure neighbors. Fresh produce is grown in a Farmacy Garden at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center to supply to Willing Hands which collects and distributes food to 80 social service organizations across the Upper Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire. The program serves 30,000 individuals annually with 4 million servings. Learn more at https://willinghands.org/

  • The Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. Powered by Dunkin’ and the generosity of franchisees, partners, employees and guests, the Joy in Childhood Foundation’s mission is to provide the simple joys of childhood to kids battling hunger or illness. Since 2006, the Joy in Childhood Foundation has granted more than $30 million to hundreds of national and local charities across the country including food banks, children’s hospitals and nonprofit organizations. We hope our efforts this holiday season bring cheer to those who need it most. We encourage those who are able to join us and do their part to help those less fortunate now and throughout the year. And we wish all of you a happy and healthy 2022.
